The Finance Committee is chaired, on an annual basis by the Secretary Treasurer of NWONE and includes as members the Secretary Treasurer Elect who is also the committee’s Chair Elect, and the Executive Director of NWONE.  Other members of the committee are voluntary, but are asked to serve at least a full one year term.

The Work of the Finance Committee

The Finance Committee:

• Provides month-to-month oversight of the financial status of the organization

• Provides reports on the financial status of the organization to the NWONE Board of Directors each month

• Provides reports on the financial status of the organization to all meetings of the membership

• Creates and presents to the NWONE Board of Directors any strategic plans to build revenue or revenue streams and to set strategic financial direction that will ensure organizational viability

• Creates and presents to the NWONE Board of Directors the next year's budget for approval

• Reviews and approves the annual accountant’s financial review and tax report for the organization

• Ensures that the legal fiduciary responsibility of NWONE as a nonprofit organization is met
