The NWONE annual Spring Medley was held in March of 2009 at the SeaTac Hilton Hotel and Conference Center in SeaTac, Washington with a keynote address by Bonnie Wesorick.  Attendance at the program was strong, evaluative reviews were positive and the program met budgetary expectations. 

In September of 2009 NWONE held its annual fall program at the Marriott Riverfront in Portland, Oregon.  This program was opened by a keynote address from John Nance an internationally known speaker on aviation safety and its implication for health care.  Other speakers included Tim Porter O’Grady, Kathleen Vollman and Linda Elder.  In spite of a down economy our registrations exceeded budget and the program was very positively received.  Evaluative reviews praised the strength of our speakers and several members communicated that they felt it was the best program NWONE had ever presented.  Industry sponsorships and exhibits at this program fell significantly below budget, causing the organization to revise its financial expectations in this area for the future.    

October 15, 2009 NWONE provided a keynote address to the Washington State Hospital Association on Bringing Life to Organizational Change:  Moving from Knowing to Doing and also provided a breakout session on the TICC project.  Both of these presentations gave the opportunity to highlight the leadership of NWONE to the CEOs, other administrative hospital leaders and to hospital trustees.
