  Exciting New Role at Seattle Children's

Founded in 1907, Seattle Children's Hospital provides excellent patient care with compassion and respect, and conducts leading-edge pediatric research. The hospital also serves as an educational resource for patients, families and healthcare professionals. Ranked as one of the top 10 children's hospitals in the country by U.S. News & World Report, Children's serves as the pediatric referral center for Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. In 2008, Seattle Children's was awarded Magnet designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. 

We recently created a new position for a Director of Nursing Resources. This individual will direct, manage and evaluate services provided by the Shift Administrators, Staffing Services, inpatient Unit Coordinators and Vascular Access services in a manner that meets continuous quality improvement goals, supports nursing functions, processes and staffing levels, meets financial requirements, supports patient access, flow and safety, and provides service excellence to patients and families. This Director also will provide leadership to develop strategic initiatives and implement systems and processes  including  informational systems, operating budgets, visibility systems and personnel management that support the nursing departments and respond to trends and changes in the workforce, customer service, and the healthcare environment. Applicants must have a Masters Degree in Nursing, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration and at least five years hospital nursing leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with management experience in nursing staffing systems are preferred.
