Skagit Valley Hospital and Regional Clinics located in Mt Vernon, WA is currently seeking a Director of Emergency Services to join our organization. 

Skagit Valley Hospital and Regional Clinics strive to provide the best regional community healthcare in the Northwest, working with our communities to promote health and wellness. We provide a full continuum of care to our community, ranging from outpatient diagnostics and rehabilitation services to surgery and acute care. Our services also include a Family Birth Center, heart and vascular care, orthopedic services, surgery and cancer treatment at our Regional Cancer Care Center. Our Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day and features a Level III trauma unit. The hospital has a total of 137 beds and all rooms are private.

The position provides leadership to Emergency Services.  Responsible and accountable for direction, organization, performance improvement activities and coordination of administrative and clinical functions on a 24 hour basis.  Serves as a resource person and role model in the advancement of nursing and professional practice.  Provides support and clinical expertise to the staff in areas of comprehensive positive healthcare experience for all patients treated in area of responsibility.

  Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, MSN preferred.   Advanced knowledge of fundamentals of nursing practice as well has familiarity with literature and developments in nursing and pharmaceutical fields.  Knowledge of hospital management operations and economics required.

Registered Nurse with four (4) years experience in emergency care nursing. Three years of progressive management experience and knowledge of emergency and psych standards and staffing required.  Washington State RN License and ACLS required.  CEN required.
