Vice President, Patient Services

Island Hospital

Anacortes, WA

Island Hospital is the center for health and wellness serving west Skagit County, north Whidbey Island, and the San Juan Islands. They are recognized as one of the most innovative small hospitals in the U.S.  It is an integral part of the great quality of life on Fidalgo Island.  Island Hospital's medical staff comprises more than 100 physicians and other providers that offer a full spectrum of services, from birth to rehabilitation.  In fact, the hospital provides a range of services more typical to an urban medical center.

Since its establishment in 1962, Island Hospital has grown in concert with the community and maintains a progressive stand in delivering quality medical services. The Hospital's mission is to provide services based on community need. With 43 private beds, it is the smallest hospital in Washington to offer Level III Trauma care and an array of services typically found only at a much larger facility.

As a leader in information technology, Island Hospital is moving forward in both healthcare and information technology.  It has been nationally recognized as a leader in healthcare computerization. A secure information system links all staff physicians and hospital departments with the latest patient information, 24 hours a day, assuring patients and providers a rapid information exchange.
