This position is responsible for planning and managing patient
care, nursing and support services in the PACU area. This job
provides overall direction and leadership for day-to-day
operations. The position will provide leadership to develop and
implement strategies and policies to accomplish delivery of
services at best possible levels of cost effectiveness and
stakeholder satisfaction. This job places strong emphasis on the
following outcomes: the achievement of the aggressive development
& dissemination of best practices and the cultivation of a
highly-effective work unit.
Director candidate qualifications: Master's degree in nursing,
healthcare, or business administration required. Licensure as a
Registered Nurse in the state of Washington may be required.
Extensive clinical and business knowledge of the relevant service
line, which may include appropriate certifications. Excellent
organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding
of budgets and planning. Preferred: Five years combined clinical
and supervisory/managerial experience.
Manager candidate qualifications: Master's degree in nursing,
healthcare or business administration or current enrollment in a
program required. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the
state of Washington required. Also required are: Five years acute
care nursing experience, including three years increasingly
responsible management experience; extensive relevant clinical and
business knowledge, which may include appropriate certifications;
excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills; and
an understanding of budgets and planning.
