Chief Clinical Officer

Columbia Memorial Hospital in beautiful and historic Astoria, Oregon, is looking for a dedicated and detailed orientated person to be our Chief Clinical Officer. The Chief Clinical Officer is a member of the Senior Management team who is responsible for the oversight of all clinical and nursing services.  In addition, this position provides oversight and direction for Case Management (Utilization Review/Discharge Planning), Quality Risk Management functions, Dietary, Pharmacy and Home Care Services.  Supports the Professional Staff through the peer review process and professional staff committees.  This position ensures facility readiness for accreditation, federal, and state surveys/inspections.

Required Qualifications:

RN currently licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing.  MSN required.  Minimum of five years experience in nursing leadership/management experience in acute care setting.   Knowledge of professional nursing standards, managerial ability, and organizational skills.  Ability to identify, evaluate and implement appropriate improvements in nursing care practice and models. Thorough knowledge and application of Quality, Risk, and Patient Safety standards. Excellent communication skills.  Ability to work with the governing body, management, professional staff and other leaders in the hospital.
