Providence is calling a
full time Assistant Clinical Manager, in the NICU, at Providence
Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.
In this position, you
will:
• Focus on daily department operations and
supervise personnel and coordinates activities of
Nursing.
• Perform all duties in a manner, which
promotes team concept and reflects the mission of philosophy of the
Providence Health System. Coordinate the team to deliver
patient care in a compassionate and ethical manner according to
recognized standards and care model.
• Serve as a role model for nurses,
physicians, and department support staff, exhibiting the Core
Values in all activities.
• Mentor under the Clinical Manager and
pursues management and leadership training within the Providence
Alaska Learning Institute. May be assigned to special
projects per Clinical Manager consistent with strategic, fiscal,
and operational goals/targets.
• Function as the clinical & operating
resource with designated hours of accountability exercising
independent judgment. Assists with business plans, fiscal
accountability, and clinical and resource utilization. As well as
foster change, and teamwork.
• Perform clinical duties of the patient
care role related to professional specialty.
Qualifications for this position
include:
• Graduate of an accredited/approved
school of Nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the
State of Alaska.
• Successful candidates will possess three
years of clinical experience in area of neonatal ICU services. Two
years of recent clinical supervisory experience or charge nurse
experience.
• Preference may be given to individuals
with a bachelor degree in Nursing and/or certification in the
specialty of the department.
