NWONE Awards program

In the Spring of 2008 at the NWONE Spring Medley NWONE launched a leadership awards program with an initial award for Authentic Leadership.  Charleen Tachibana, Senior Vice President, Hospital Administrator and CNE of Virginia Mason Medical Center was the first leaders given this award which was presented at this NWONE Program

In August of 2008 the NWONE Board of Directors made the decision to create an additional award for a Distinguished Career.  This award was created to honor those nurse leaders who have given a life time of service to both their employers and to the nursing profession and professional organizations. 

These two awards are now given out, as applicable, each year at the NWONE Spring Medley.  The award nomination forms are available on the NWONE website and through the NWONE business office and are due for review by February 1st of each year.
