The NWONE Board of Directors is composed of both Elected and appointed positions. Elected members are the officers of NWONE and the Commission Chairs for NWONE. Board Officers include: President, President Elect, Immediate Past President, Secretary Treasurer and Secretary Treasurer Elect.

The Vice President is the only non-elected officer of NWONE and that position is selected by the board. The Vice President must be from the alternate state (Washington or Oregon) as the President.

Elected Commission Chairs include:

• Chair of the Education Commission

• Chair of the Healthcare Policy Commission for Oregon

• Chair of the Healthcare Policy Commission for Washington

• Chair of the Membership Services Commission and

• Chair of the Commission on Nursing Practice.

Appointed members fall into the following categories:

• At Large Members chosen by the BOD and appointed to either a one or two year term to serve a specific board function or to bring specific expertise to the board including formal representation from NWONE to another professional group or board

•  Regional Council Representatives who are chosen locally by their regional membership to assume a two year board appointment to represent their region and provide feedback to the region on board related activities.
